Deputy Regional Advisor, Supply Chain – Central and West Africa

About the role

The Deputy Regional Advisor, Supply Chain provides strategic advice and hands‑on support for supply‑chain management across CRS offices in Central and West Africa. Working closely with country teams and the Global Supply Chain Management unit, the role ensures agile, compliant, and efficient systems that enable high‑quality programming.

Key responsibilities

• Support development and implementation of regional supply‑chain strategies, policies, standards and tools, engaging donors, partners and governments.
• Assist countries in planning and executing procurement, logistics, warehousing and fleet‑management activities, including annual procurement plans and tender reviews.
• Promote the use of ERP systems (e.g., Oracle) and supply‑chain KPIs to improve performance, reporting and accountability.
• Provide technical guidance on complex procurement processes, contracts and due‑diligence documentation.
• Lead capacity‑building initiatives such as training workshops, mentoring and knowledge‑sharing across the region.
• Support compliance with donor regulations, audit findings and risk‑management actions, integrating climate‑action and sustainability considerations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or a related field.
• Minimum 7 years of progressive experience in international supply‑chain, logistics or procurement.
• Experience with ERP systems, preferably Oracle.
• Fluency in English and French; Arabic is a plus.
• Willingness to travel up to 30 % of the time.

• Logistics, warehousing operations and inventory control (FIFO/FEFO, cycle counting, expiry management).
• Fleet and driver‑management system design.
