Outbound Team Lead – Warehouse Operations

About the role

Jumia, Africa’s leading e‑commerce platform, is seeking an Outbound Team Lead to supervise daily warehouse activities. You will ensure pickers, packers and sorters meet hourly fulfillment targets while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise shift floor activities, ensuring hourly SLAs and cut‑off deadlines are met.
• Conduct pre‑shift briefings, allocate zones and monitor productivity metrics.
• Perform quality spot‑checks on packed orders for accuracy, proper packaging and correct labeling.
• Resolve real‑time operational bottlenecks, stock location issues and system exceptions in coordination with the Outbound Manager.
• Enforce 5S standards, safety compliance and proper equipment handling across the outbound area.

Required profile

• High school diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Operations or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years supervisory experience in warehouse picking, packing or dispatch environments.
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends, and handle fast‑paced physical tasks.

Required skills

• Practical experience with handheld RF scanners.
• Familiarity with barcoding systems.
• Experience using Warehouse Management System (WMS) applications.
