Residential Loan Officer

About the role

Associated Bank is seeking a Residential Loan Officer to originate and manage regulatory‑compliant residential mortgage applications. You will build referral networks with realtors, builders, attorneys and other influencers while delivering tailored loan solutions to our customers.

Key responsibilities

• Originate residential loan applications in full compliance with Bank policies and federal regulations.
• Develop and maintain referral relationships with realtors, builders, attorneys and community partners.
• Conduct pre‑qualification interviews, explain loan programs and recommend appropriate products.
• Review applications for compliance with Bank, industry and agency guidelines; notify applicants of qualification status.
• Monitor loan processing, manage pipelines and coordinate with loan processors to ensure timely closures.
• Cross‑sell additional Bank products and services to meet sales targets.
• Liaise with local, state and federal agencies as well as non‑profit community development groups.

Required profile

• Experience in residential mortgage loan origination or a related banking function.
• Ability to develop and nurture professional referral networks.
• Strong understanding of regulatory requirements such as the Truth in Lending Act, Regulation Z, BSA/AML and the SAFE Act.
• Willingness to undergo a thorough background check and credit check as required by law.
