Risk Specialist (P‑3) – 6‑month contract

About the role

UNICEF is seeking a Risk Specialist (P‑3) on a six‑month fixed‑term contract to support the coordination of assurance activities and conduct integrated performance and risk analyses. The role works closely with programmatic and operational teams, assurance focal points, and senior leadership to strengthen accountability and improve organisational effectiveness.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate assurance activities across programme and operational units.
• Conduct performance and risk analyses to inform management decisions.
• Prepare and present reports and management support documents.
• Strengthen capacity of teams in risk and performance monitoring.

Required profile

• Advanced university degree in Risk Management, Business Administration, Public Administration, Finance, Audit, Monitoring & Evaluation or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in risk management, internal control, assurance, audit or performance management.
• Experience coordinating assessments, reviews, audits or assurance activities.
• Fluency in English and French is required.
