Space Applications Expert – Earth Observation & Copernicus

About the role

NTU International is seeking a highly qualified Non‑Key Expert to support the Africa‑EU Space Partnership Programme. The expert will lead the development, deployment and uptake of Earth Observation services and applications, especially those based on Copernicus data, to address key development, climate and environmental priorities across Africa.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and deliver Earth Observation services and applications using Copernicus data and products.
• Focus on sectors such as early warning, climate monitoring, environmental protection, agriculture, water management and biodiversity.
• Facilitate knowledge exchange and capacity building with African institutions and stakeholders.
• Support policy dialogue and promote private‑sector engagement in the African space ecosystem.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in geomatics, remote sensing, environmental science, meteorology, engineering or a related field.
• Excellent command of English; working knowledge of French and/or Portuguese is an asset.
• Minimum 8 years of professional experience in Earth Observation, geospatial services, remote sensing or climate/environmental services.
• At least 4 years of experience designing or delivering EO services with Copernicus data.
• Experience working with African institutions or user communities is a plus.
