Store Operations Manager (General Manager)

About the role

Insomnia Cookies is opening a brand‑new location in the Soulard neighborhood of St. Louis and needs a dynamic Store Operations Manager to lead the team. You will be responsible for delivering exceptional hospitality, maintaining high product quality, and driving sales while fostering a supportive culture.

Key responsibilities

• Hire, coach, and develop a diverse part‑time staff including Shift Leaders, Cookie Crew, and Delivery Drivers.
• Oversee food quality, customer service, employee friendliness, and store cleanliness.
• Establish and nurture a culture focused on cookie quality, customer experience, and sales performance.
• Manage inventory controls and conduct regular audits.
• Create and execute local marketing initiatives and in‑store recognition programs.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of management or leadership experience in a restaurant or retail environment.
• Availability to work 2‑3 mid‑to‑late shifts (Thursday‑Sunday).
• Benevolent, player‑coach leadership style with a strong hospitality mindset.
• Technical comfort with restaurant/retail business software and proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Teams.
• Experience using an Applicant Tracking System for hiring.
• Familiarity with commercial convection ovens is a plus.
