About the role

Mentor Me In Tech is seeking a dedicated Volunteer HR Specialist to support its growing tech mentorship community. This role focuses on building a healthy team culture, streamlining volunteer onboarding, and enhancing overall people operations.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with recruitment, screening, and onboarding of volunteers and team members.
• Develop and maintain clear role descriptions and team structures.
• Support team engagement, communication, and performance management.
• Coordinate internal policies, documentation, and HR processes.
• Track volunteer participation, attendance, and accountability.
• Handle basic conflict resolution and provide team support when needed.
• Collaborate with leadership to improve team operations and culture.

Required profile

• Minimum of 3 years experience in HR, recruitment, administration, or people operations.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent organizational and documentation abilities.
• Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality.
• Availability of at least 10 hours per week.
• Passion for mentorship, education, and community development.
