Bambara Language Expert – Remote, $95/hr

About the role

We are looking for a native or near‑native Bambara speaker to join our remote team on an hourly contract. You will work directly with AI and data teams to ensure high‑quality Bambara language content for various products.

Key responsibilities

• Translate content into and from Bambara with high accuracy and cultural relevance.
• Edit and proofread Bambara language data to maintain consistency and quality.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to annotate, evaluate, and improve language datasets.
• Develop and review linguistic resources, glossaries, and written materials.
• Provide insights on Bambara nuances, idioms, and cultural context.
• Contribute linguistic expertise to improve AI language models.
• Deliver tasks on time while meeting established quality standards.

Required profile

• Native or near‑native proficiency in Bambara, both written and spoken.
• Proven experience in translation, editing, or related linguistic work.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to linguistic accuracy.
• Familiarity with language data or AI‑related tools and platforms.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
