Business Development Manager – Mining Software (Africa)

About the role

We are seeking a Business Development Manager to drive commercial expansion of our integrated mining software and instrumentation portfolio across Africa. You will sell high‑value, end‑to‑end technological solutions to mines, quarries, drill‑and‑blast contractors and civil works projects, while building a network of local partners and subsidiaries.

Key responsibilities

• Targeted prospecting of large‑scale mines, regional quarries, blasting contractors and civil works projects across Africa.
• Manage a structured, conversion‑driven sales pipeline by identifying operational needs and presenting tailored solutions.
• Conduct impactful presentations and technical demonstrations of our software suite, ore optimisation tools and high‑precision measurement hardware.
• Prepare commercial proposals, negotiate terms and secure contract signatures.
• Develop, train and support regional partners, distributors and subsidiaries to amplify sales efforts.
• Maintain rigorous CRM reporting and provide market feedback to product and operations teams.

Required profile

• 3‑7 years of proven B2B technical sales experience.
• Strong knowledge of at least one sector: mining, quarrying, explosives/drill‑and‑blast or heavy civil works.
• Demonstrated ability to sell complex software‑hardware ecosystems.
• Fluent English (mandatory) and professional French (strongly recommended).
• High willingness to travel regularly across Africa and to Europe.
