Consultant Partnerships

About the role

The World Food Programme is seeking an International Consultant to strengthen partnership engagement for its West and Central Africa Regional Bureau. Based in Dakar, the consultant will support the Regional Director’s front office, ensuring high‑quality donor engagement, strategic communication, and effective coordination.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare briefs, talking points, and background notes for senior staff to facilitate donor interactions.
• Support resource mobilisation and strategic positioning of the Regional Bureau.
• Coordinate partnership activities and maintain continuity in a high‑demand environment.
• Assist the Head of Partnerships in delivering timely and responsive communication with donors.

Required profile

• Proven experience in partnership or donor engagement within an international or humanitarian context.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for briefing senior officials.
• Ability to work independently and coordinate across multiple stakeholders.
• Flexibility to respond quickly to evolving partnership needs.
