FAST Regional Manager – West Africa

About the role

The FAST Regional Manager will lead VisionFund International’s FAST (Finance Accelerating Savings group Transformation) programme across West African countries. You will guide partner micro‑finance institutions (MFIs) through pilot phases and full roll‑out of the FAST loan product, ensuring high‑quality delivery to savings groups.

Key responsibilities

• Support and advise VisionFund MFIs on the implementation of the FAST product in West Africa.
• Translate existing training and guidance materials and develop new resources as needed.
• Oversee the quality, capacity building and regional implementation of the FAST programme.
• Collaborate with local FAST product managers and ensure alignment with VisionFund standards.
• Monitor financial performance, report on results and contribute to annual operational plans.

Required profile

• 8‑10 years of professional experience in international development, preferably with savings groups, livelihoods, micro‑finance or digital finance.
• Strong knowledge of savings‑group methodology and group‑lending practices.
• Proven ability to work in remote, high‑risk environments (e.g., Mali) and travel extensively.
• Demonstrated track record of influencing external and internal leaders, building partnerships and presenting at conferences.
• Bilingual: native French with excellent English, or native English with excellent French.
