Finance Manager (Senegal)

About the role

Mercy Corps is seeking a Finance Manager to lead financial operations for its Senegal country office. Based in Dakar, the role reports to the Country Director and works closely with the Regional Finance Director to ensure sound financial management across all programs.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the finance focal point for all Mercy Corps programs in Senegal.
• Prepare and submit Expenditure vs. Budget (BVA) reports on time.
• Monitor compliance with Mercy Corps financial procedures and donor regulations.
• Oversee financial reporting, budgeting, and grant forecasting in collaboration with program managers.
• Lead the country accounts, build capacity of finance staff, and coordinate with other departments.
• Develop and maintain an operational cost allocation system for ongoing projects.

Required profile

• Experience in financial management within an international development or non‑profit environment.
• Strong knowledge of donor compliance and grant management.
• Ability to work independently and provide strategic financial guidance.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills.
