French Freelance Audio Transcription & Annotation Specialist

About the role

We are looking for a French‑speaking freelance specialist to support a multilingual AI data project. The role is fully remote and involves creating high‑quality transcriptions and annotations from audio recordings.

Key responsibilities

• Transcribe French audio recordings from scratch.
• Review and correct machine‑generated transcripts.
• Segment audio, identify speakers and add timestamps.
• Label pauses, fillers, overlapping speech, background noise and other audio events.
• Follow detailed project guidelines and meet quality targets.

Required profile

• C1–C2 proficiency and idiomatic fluency in French.
• Good working knowledge of English to understand guidelines and feedback.
• Previous experience in transcription, subtitling, speech or linguistic data annotation.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to apply detailed guidelines consistently.
• Reliable computer, internet connection and headphones.

What we offer

• Freelance contract with a rate of $11 per hour.
