Global Risk & Compliance Adviser (Internal Applicants Only)

About the role

We are looking for a Global Risk & Compliance Adviser to support NRC’s operations worldwide. The adviser will help embed the organisation’s risk management framework, guide teams on high‑risk issues and ensure compliance with internal controls and external requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Provide expert advice to management groups in country offices and regional teams on identifying, assessing, monitoring and managing risks.
• Advise on high‑risk issues, mitigation strategies, internal controls and escalation procedures.
• Support global functions in developing risk‑specific procedures, tools and ensuring alignment with the internal control framework.
• Assist with compliance to internal controls and implementation of audit recommendations.
• Guide staff on data protection, anti‑corruption, sanctions and counter‑terrorism requirements.
• Design and deliver training and capacity‑building activities for risk and compliance personnel.
• Contribute to organisational policies, procedures, digital tools and reporting on risk status and incidents.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in risk and compliance within an international organisation.
• Strong judgment, collaborative approach and ability to work across global teams.
• Experience advising on risk management frameworks, internal controls and compliance with external regulations.
