Grant Finance Officer

About the role

The Grant Finance Officer will ensure effective financial management of a donor‑restricted project coordinated by Amnesty International’s West and Central Africa Regional Office. The role supports the finance team and national sections in Burkina Faso, Senegal and Sierra Leone, overseeing budgeting, reporting and audit processes for a programme combating gender‑based violence.

Key responsibilities

• Review quarterly expenditure forecasts and financial reports from national sections to ensure alignment with narrative reports.
• Prepare quarterly forecasts and expenditure reports for the West and Central Africa Regional Office.
• Assist national sections in organising annual audits of programme income and expenditure.
• Compile and submit all financial reports, forecasts and fund requests to the donor (Amnesty International UK) and coordinate with national teams.
• Produce accurate consolidated financial reports for donors in close collaboration with Amnesty International UK.

Required profile

• University qualification in finance or a related field.
• Proven experience managing multi‑year, multi‑country programmes with high‑value donor budgets, preferably within international NGOs.
• Strong knowledge of donor requirements and compliance procedures.
• Ability to analyse, evaluate and summarise financial reports for accuracy and regulatory compliance.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and French.
