Graphic Design & Visual Media Intern

About the role

The United Nations Information Centre (UNIC) in Ouagadougou is looking for a motivated intern to support its communication team. You will help create visual content that amplifies UN messages, campaigns, and events across digital platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in photographing and filming UN events, campaigns, and activities.
• Edit and organize visual assets to meet UN communication standards.
• Create infographics, social‑media visuals, and basic graphic materials.
• Adapt visual content for digital platforms and social media channels.
• Produce and edit short videos for outreach purposes.
• Perform any other communication‑related tasks as required by the team.

Required profile

• Enrolled in or recently completed a graduate program or the final year of a bachelor’s degree.
• Strong interest in visual storytelling and UN communication goals.
• Ability to work full‑time on‑site, five days a week.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere, etc.).
• Experience using Canva, CapCut, InShot, VN, and MS Teams.
• Basic filming and camera operation skills.
• Video production and editing capabilities.
