IT Operations Associate

About the role

As an IT Operations Associate you will ensure reliable internet connectivity and telephony services across Wave’s offices in Africa. You will support employees, internal teams and external partners by providing first‑line troubleshooting and maintaining critical SMPP and SIP connections.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain 99.9% uptime for office internet access, coordinating with external ISPs and suppliers.
• Monitor and troubleshoot SMPP and SIP connections to guarantee timely SMS notifications.
• Participate in an on‑call rotation to resolve tickets from employees, Product & Engineering, and external partners.
• Analyse network logs, diagnose connection issues, and work with ISPs to implement fixes.
• Assist with onboarding new hires, provisioning hardware, software, and IT permissions.
• Provide day‑to‑day support for computer hardware, software, and telephony platforms.

• Strong interest in IT infrastructure and network operations.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively across multiple African locations.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
