IT Telecommunication Assistant (Temporary, 6 months)

About the role

The IT Telecommunication Assistant will support UNICEF’s Digital Impact and ICT services in Dakar. Working on a six‑month temporary appointment, you will provide technical assistance, administer equipment, resolve incidents and help users adopt digital solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver end‑user support and service delivery for ICT systems.
• Administer and operate ICT infrastructure, including networks and telecommunications.
• Provide digital collaboration and audiovisual support for meetings and events.
• Conduct user training and capacity‑building activities.
• Maintain ICT asset registers and inventory records.

Required profile

• Completion of secondary education with formal training in Computer Science, Information Systems, Telecommunications or Engineering.
• At least five years of experience in ICT, telecom, network administration or help‑desk support.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot hardware, software, network connectivity and telecommunications issues.
• Experience supporting Microsoft Windows operating environments.
