Manager, Dakar Representative Office

About the role

We are looking for a dynamic leader to manage UNFCU’s Dakar Representative Office, overseeing all operational, compliance and member‑service activities in Senegal. The role combines leadership, business development and community engagement to support United Nations employees and their families.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily office operations ensuring compliance with UNFCU policies and local regulations.
• Deliver an exceptional member experience and grow UNFCU’s membership in Senegal.
• Hire, train, coach and evaluate staff, fostering a high‑performing, service‑oriented team.
• Monitor sales results, conduct monthly coaching sessions and track productivity, sales and attendance.
• Develop and maintain relationships with United Nations organisations, vendors and partners.
• Identify training needs and coordinate staff development with the Global Retail Training Team.
• Design and implement policies, procedures and workflow improvements to increase efficiency.
• Report office performance to senior management and manage security concerns.

Required profile

• Proven experience in managing a financial services or credit‑union office.
• Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance and internal policy enforcement.
• Excellent leadership, coaching and team‑building abilities.
• Ability to develop strategic partnerships and expand membership.
• Effective communication with senior management and external stakeholders.
