About the role
The Project Portfolio Specialist will support UNCDF’s expanding pipeline of projects in West & Central Africa and Latin America & the Caribbean. Based in Dakar, the incumbent will lead the launch and early implementation phases of multi‑country initiatives, ensuring operational set‑up and alignment with UNCDF’s investment mandate.
Key responsibilities
- Lead project launch and implementation for initiatives in Mali, Cameroon, Burkina Faso and Colombia.
- Coordinate cross‑language support and ensure timely operational set‑up across English, French, Spanish and Portuguese contexts.
- Maintain alignment of operations, reporting processes and partnership arrangements with UNCDF’s regional and headquarters functions.
Required profile
- Proven experience managing multi‑country development projects or portfolios.
- Strong coordination and stakeholder‑management abilities, including liaison with donors, UN agencies, governments and private‑sector partners.
- Willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
