Manager / Senior Manager – West & North Africa

About the role

IDinsight is seeking a dynamic Manager or Senior Manager to lead client engagements across West and North Africa from its Dakar office. The role blends strategic advisory, rigorous evidence‑based analysis, and team leadership to help governments, foundations, NGOs and socially‑impactful businesses maximize their social impact.

Key responsibilities

• Establish trusted advisor relationships with senior client leaders and provide high‑quality, evidence‑based counsel.
• Lead all phases of advisory and evaluation projects, including design, data collection, analysis, and delivery of policy briefs, technical reports and presentations.
• Oversee project administration, staffing requests, timesheets, leave management and change‑management processes.
• Mentor and guide Associates and other junior staff, fostering a collaborative, high‑performance environment.
• Design project budgets, monitor financial performance and ensure compliance with funder requirements.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional technical teams to maintain methodological rigor and manage safety & security risks for the team.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing complex, multi‑stakeholder projects in development or impact evaluation.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate data and evidence into actionable insights.
• Excellent communication skills for presenting findings to senior decision‑makers.
• Demonstrated leadership in mentoring junior professionals.
• Ability to identify and mitigate financial and operational risks early.
