Marine Technician – Offshore Cargo Operations

About the role

This position supports marine and cargo operations in an offshore and tanker environment within the oil and gas sector. The role focuses on safe handling of cargo, ballast, bunkering and related marine activities while operating under a 28/28 rotation in Mauritania or Senegal.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and control cargo transfer, ballast and bunkering operations on FPSOs, tankers or offshore terminals.
• Ensure compliance with HSSE standards, control‑of‑work procedures, permits and isolations.
• Identify abnormal conditions, escalate risks promptly and support safe operational performance.
• Conduct shift handovers, toolbox talks and maintain clear communication with multidisciplinary teams.
• Perform basic condition monitoring and care of marine equipment and auxiliary systems.

Required profile

• Minimum 6 months sea time on cargo vessels with bridge and cargo watch‑keeping experience.
• Proven experience in marine and cargo operations on FPSOs, tankers or offshore terminals.
• Experience working in high‑risk offshore environments with a strong HSSE focus.
• Ability to apply control‑of‑work processes, including permits, isolations and operational handovers.
• Officer of the Watch (Deck) STCW II/3 certification and Basic Training for Oil Tanker/LNG Cargo Operations.
