About the role
Wärtsilä is looking for a Graduate Engineer Trainee (Electrical) to join its team in Bel Air, Dakar. The programme provides structured training to develop both technical and leadership skills needed to supervise electrical maintenance operations and support operational efficiency.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinate daily electrical maintenance activities at the plant and/or assigned team.
- Monitor condition of maintenance equipment, materials, spare parts and tools, taking corrective actions when needed.
- Ensure work complies with Wärtsilä Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental guidelines and customer site procedures.
- Prepare and submit work reports for all maintenance activities.
- Inspect completed work to verify repairs meet specifications and safety standards.
- Develop maintenance working routines and prioritize tasks to use team resources effectively.
Required profile
- BE/Diploma (3 years) in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Flexibility to adopt various roles within the maintenance team.
