Operations Assistant – West & Central Africa Regional Office

About the role

The Operations Assistant supports the Regional Operations Manager in delivering programme and technical support across the West and Central Africa region. The role provides administrative, financial and logistical assistance to country offices and the regional team.

Key responsibilities

• Organise workshops, meetings, missions and other events, handling logistics, travel authorisations and venue arrangements.
• Prepare and monitor financial documents in the Quantum system, including requisitions, vouchers, payments and monthly financial status reports.
• Maintain filing systems, archive records and update country, partner and project files in line with regional guidelines.
• Draft responses to inquiries, compile briefing materials, and assist in the preparation of reports, papers and publications.

Required profile

• Minimum secondary education with at least five years of experience in administration, finance programme support, ICT or office management.
• Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, handle confidential matters and work under pressure with attention to detail.
• Fluency in English and working knowledge of French.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Google‑suite applications.
• Experience using the Quantum financial management system for budgeting, reporting and payments.
• Strong written communication and interpersonal skills for drafting correspondence and coordinating with diverse stakeholders.
