Payments Projects Lead

About the role

Wave is building a cashless Africa and needs a Payments Projects Lead to drive large, cross‑functional initiatives that scale payments for new products and partners. Based in Dakar, you will work closely with product, operations, and merchant teams to deliver strategic B2B projects.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end delivery of complex, cross‑functional operations projects that expand payment services.
• Identify and resolve blockers, ensuring clear communication across product, corporate, and field teams.
• Maintain live project documentation and facilitate asynchronous collaboration across borders.
• Engage with users, corporate partners, and informal merchants to gather insights and clarify issues.
• Drive rapid project execution while thinking creatively and proactively.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in retail or FMCG sectors, preferably with project management or consulting background.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Project Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Work authorization for Senegal.
