Product Relations Manager

About the role

Wave is building Africa’s first cashless continent and needs a Product Relations Manager to own the product and technical side of external partner integrations. Based in Senegal, you will act as the bridge between partners and our product and engineering teams, ensuring seamless integration from concept to launch.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain partner relationships, driving integrations end‑to‑end from scoping through production launch.
• Evaluate prospective partners’ technical readiness and provide clear go/no‑go recommendations before contracts are signed.
• Lead technical scoping sessions, translating partner requirements into engineering specifications.
• Hold partners accountable for delivery, escalating issues when progress stalls.
• Monitor integration health post‑launch and resolve performance degradations.
• Identify opportunities to expand or deepen existing partnerships.
• Make data‑driven build‑vs‑buy and direct‑vs‑aggregator decisions.
• Coordinate cross‑functional execution across Engineering, Legal, Compliance, Finance, Marketing, Support and Partner Operations.
• Use transaction data and operational metrics to prioritize work and inform decisions.
• Contribute to standardising integration processes and playbooks across markets.

Required profile

• Strong ability to manage complex partner relationships and drive projects to completion.
• Experience working with cross‑functional teams in fast‑moving environments.
• Data‑oriented mindset for prioritisation and decision‑making.
• Willingness to travel to partner offices and field locations across markets.
