About the role

The AFGHS-FHI 360 Senegal Project Director provides overall leadership, management and strategic direction for the project in Senegal, overseeing HIV/AIDS and global health security activities.

Key responsibilities

• Direct overall project vision, design, planning and implementation, ensuring goals are met within time and contractual parameters.
• Develop and manage strategic relationships with government entities, partners and donors, and lead the country project team in planning and execution.
• Oversee budgeting, monitoring, risk mitigation, and compliance with donor requirements.
• Provide leadership, performance management and professional development for project staff within a matrixed structure.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in project management and leadership in health or development programs.
• Strong consultative, negotiation and communication skills, with ability to work with government, donors and partners.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze complex problems, make strategic decisions and drive results.
