Regional Program Coordinator – West Africa

About the role

ActionAid is seeking a Regional Program Coordinator to oversee its programmes across West African countries. Based in Dakar, the role will ensure that initiatives align with the organisation’s regional strategy and promote knowledge sharing among country offices, strengthening impact across the region.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and monitor programme activities across the West Africa region, ensuring timelines, budgets and quality standards are met.
• Facilitate cross‑country learning, collaboration and best‑practice exchange by organising workshops, webinars and regular communication channels.
• Provide technical assistance and on‑the‑ground support to country offices, helping them design, implement and evaluate projects effectively.
• Manage relationships with regional partners, donors and stakeholders, representing ActionAid in meetings and reporting on progress.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Development Studies or a related field.
• At least four years of experience in regional coordination or programme management within the development sector.
• Fluency in both English and French, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
