Resource Development & Management Advisor

About the role

VisionFund International is seeking a Resource Development & Management Advisor to lead funding acquisition and grant management across its African operations. The role will support VisionFund’s mission to end intergenerational poverty by securing and managing donor resources for micro‑finance programmes.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full RFP response cycle, including reviewing opportunities, aligning them with VisionFund priorities, and obtaining leadership approval.
• Research and assess potential funding organisations, collaborating with World Vision field and regional offices.
• Develop and maintain a pipeline of funding opportunities that align with strategic priorities.
• Set up and lead proposal development teams, create detailed work‑plans, and ensure all technical and financial documentation is complete.
• Write proposals, review contracts, and monitor donor‑funded projects to ensure compliance and impact reporting.
• Provide leadership and capacity‑building support to micro‑finance staff on grant management, impact reporting, and donor engagement.
• Maintain strong relationships with donors, World Vision offices, and implementing partners.

Required profile

• Proven experience in resource development, grant acquisition, and donor compliance within a development or micro‑finance context.
• Ability to lead cross‑functional teams and build capacity among staff.
• Strong analytical and financial reporting skills to meet donor obligations.
• Excellent communication skills for proposal writing and stakeholder engagement.
