Senior HR Business Partner – UNFPA (Dakar)

About the role

The Senior HR Business Partner will act as the primary liaison between UNFPA business units and the Human Resources function, delivering strategic HR client services and driving key HR initiatives across the Client Services and Outreach Branch.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the business‑HR interface, ensuring HR policies and practices are applied effectively and equitably.
• Guide client managers in interpreting and implementing HR policies, and invite their input on new HR initiatives.
• Provide timely, client‑focused HR support in partnership with business leaders.
• Lead and coordinate the consistent implementation of core HR processes across the region.
• Collaborate with the HR Programme Manager to align HR activities with the UNFPA Strategic Plan.
• Contribute to the development and refinement of HR policies and programs.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in HR business partnering within an international or multilateral organization.
• Strong understanding of HR policies, employment law, and talent management practices.
• Proven ability to work in a multicultural environment and build effective partnerships.
• Excellent analytical and business‑acumen skills to align HR initiatives with organizational objectives.
