Senior Regional Risk and Compliance Associate

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking a Senior Regional Risk and Compliance Associate to support the implementation of risk management policies across its country offices in the region. Reporting to the Regional Risk and Compliance Officer (RRCO) and under the overall supervision of the Deputy Regional Director for Management, the incumbent will help identify, assess, and treat reputational, fiduciary, operational and programmatic risks.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the RRCO in integrating risk management with compliance, internal controls and due‑diligence functions at regional and country levels.
• Monitor assessments of reputational, fiduciary, operational and programmatic risks, flagging anomalies or non‑compliance.
• Maintain and update the Regional Risk Register, ensuring timely consolidation and reporting.
• Provide technical assistance to country offices in developing and implementing risk treatment plans, especially for smaller missions.
• Support thematic units in project‑level risk management and oversee the ERP Governance‑Risk‑Compliance (GRC) module.
• Track Delegation of Authority (DOA) compliance and follow up on oversight recommendations.

Required profile

• Advanced degree in risk management, compliance, public administration, or a related field.
• Significant experience in risk identification, assessment and mitigation within an international or multilateral organization.
• Strong understanding of fiduciary and reputational risk frameworks.
• Excellent analytical and reporting skills.
