Senior Research Officer – Global MSNA (Dakar)

About the role

IMPACT Initiatives is seeking a Senior Research Officer to join its Global Multi‑Sector Needs Assessment (MSNA) team in Dakar. The role focuses on training, learning and country support to strengthen the delivery of independent, crisis‑wide assessments that inform humanitarian decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Support the scale‑up of the Global MSNA programme, ensuring faster, cheaper and more resilient data delivery.
• Coordinate closely with country teams and partner organisations involved in MSNA implementation.
• Provide training and learning support to staff and partners on MSNA methodology and tools.
• Facilitate country‑level support to improve data collection, management and analysis processes.
• Contribute to the development of information products that enhance humanitarian planning and response.

Required profile

• Senior‑level experience in research, data collection and analysis within humanitarian or development contexts.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with multi‑disciplinary teams across different countries.
• Strong understanding of Multi‑Sector Needs Assessments and their role in humanitarian planning.
