Social Policy Monitoring & Evaluation Specialist

About the role

The Social Policy Monitoring & Evaluation Specialist (P-3) will support UNICEF Senegal’s efforts to strengthen evidence generation, national planning, public finance for children and social protection systems. Reporting to the Deputy Representative Programme, the role combines technical support, advocacy and partnership with government and civil‑society actors.

Key responsibilities

• Generate and link evidence with national policies to inform social‑policy decisions.
• Strengthen social‑protection coverage, impact assessment and public finance for children.
• Lead planning, monitoring and evaluation activities for programme results.
• Mobilise resources and engage donors to support social‑policy initiatives.

Required profile

• Advanced university degree in Economics, Public Policy, Social Sciences, International Relations, Political Science or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in social policy, monitoring and evaluation, or planning.
• Fluency in French and intermediate English; knowledge of an additional UN language is a plus.
