Catalytic Finance Specialist – Francophone West Africa

About the role

The Catalytic Finance Specialist will support the Sanitation and Hygiene Fund (SHF) in mapping and strengthening the financing ecosystem for menstrual health across Francophone West Africa. Working closely with the technical team, the specialist will identify gaps, needs, and opportunities to catalyse investment pipelines that enable market‑based solutions for women and girls.

Key responsibilities

• Scope ecosystem enablers, key stakeholders and partners within the menstrual health financing and investment landscape in Francophone West Africa.
• Identify gaps and needs in the current financing environment and propose approaches to address them.
• Support the development of strategies to catalyse a pipeline of investment opportunities with selected partners.
• Collaborate with technical and program teams to align financing approaches with broader SHF objectives.
• Provide analytical support and documentation for potential investors and funders.

Required profile

• Experience in finance, investment analysis, or ecosystem development, preferably in low‑ and middle‑income country contexts.
• Familiarity with the menstrual health or broader WASH sector is desirable.
• Strong understanding of the Francophone West African market and ability to work with diverse stakeholders.
• Excellent communication and analytical skills.
