Estimator & Construction Project Lead

About the role

We are looking for an Estimator & Construction Project Lead to drive cost estimating and bid development for telecom and fiber‑optic construction projects across the US and Africa. The role combines detailed quantity takeoffs, risk analysis, and project pipeline management to ensure competitive and profitable project delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare accurate cost estimates covering labor, materials, equipment, subcontractors and indirect costs.
• Perform detailed quantity takeoffs from drawings, specifications and contract documents.
• Analyze project plans, geotechnical reports and regulatory requirements to develop realistic budgets and schedules.
• Lead the full bid lifecycle from RFP review to final proposal submission, coordinating internal reviews and managing timelines.
• Solicit, evaluate and manage vendor and subcontractor quotations, ensuring scope alignment and pricing accuracy.

Required profile

• Proven experience in estimating and leading construction projects within the telecommunications sector.
• Strong understanding of fiber‑optic construction, network infrastructure deployment and structured cabling.
• Ability to assess project risks, interpret technical specifications and ensure compliance with industry standards.
