About the role
We are looking for a proactive Facility Officer to oversee the maintenance and operation of our buildings and infrastructure. The role ensures a safe, healthy, and efficient environment for all staff while managing resources and costs.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and coordinate installations (plumbing, HVAC, electricity) and refurbishments.
- Manage facilities, equipment, and supplies to meet health and safety standards.
- Inspect structures, identify repair or renovation needs, and supervise corrective work.
- Monitor utilities consumption and implement cost‑saving measures.
- Supervise facilities staff and external contractors, ensuring performance expectations are met.
- Oversee staff accommodation, fleet management, parking allocation, waste disposal, and building security.
- Maintain up‑to‑date insurance coverage for all assets.
- Forecast future facility needs, conduct analysis, and produce maintenance reports.
- Collaborate with Operations and Facility Manager to ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
Required profile
- BSc in Facility Management, Engineering, Business Administration or related field.
- Minimum 2 years experience as a Facility Officer.
- Professional HSE certification is a plus.
- Strong written and verbal communication, confidentiality, and integrity.
- Ability to work long hours, handle pressure, and navigate stressful situations.
Required skills
- Proficiency in MS Office.
- Basic accounting, risk management, and finance principles.
- Cost‑comparative analysis capability.
- Knowledge of legal guidelines for security, public health, and safety.
- First‑Aid treatment skills.
