Generalist Finance Officer – V.I.A. Assignment in Dakar

About the role

This early‑career V.I.A. assignment is based in Proparco's Dakar office and supports financing origination and portfolio monitoring across Senegal, Cabo Verde, The Gambia and Guinea‑Bissau. You will work on loans and guarantees for financial institutions, corporates and infrastructure projects, gaining exposure to both new transactions and existing client relationships in a regional development‑finance environment.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and assess financing opportunities in the four West African markets.
• Support financial analysis, transaction structuring and client work for loans and guarantees.
• Monitor existing regional loans and guarantees, ensuring compliance and performance tracking.

Required profile

• First relevant experience in consulting, investment banking, transaction services, an investment fund or comparable finance.
• Ability to analyse financial statements and build financial models.
• Fluency in French.
• EEA passport and age under 28, as required by the V.I.A. contract.
