Graduate Engineering Trainee

About the role

The Graduate Engineering Trainee role is a full‑time, on‑site position based in the Dakar Region, Senegal. The trainee will support engineering teams in planning, implementation and maintenance of telecom infrastructure projects, including field visits and participation in installation and testing activities.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in data collection and analysis for telecom projects.
• Prepare technical reports and support project documentation.
• Coordinate with cross‑functional teams to ensure project milestones are met.
• Participate in field visits, installation and testing activities.
• Learn and apply engineering standards, health and safety procedures, and quality‑assurance practices.

Required profile

• Strong communication skills for clear reporting and collaboration.
• Solid analytical abilities to interpret technical data and troubleshoot issues.
• Foundational project‑management skills including task coordination and time management.
• Knowledge of manufacturing engineering and quality control concepts.
• Background in mechanical engineering or related disciplines.
• Recent or upcoming bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Telecommunications, Industrial Engineering or a related field.
• Proficiency with MS Office and basic engineering software.
• Awareness of health and safety regulations and willingness to work in field conditions.
• Fluency in French and/or English.
