Intersectional Field Procurement Advisor

About the role

The Intersectional Field Procurement Advisor supports procurement activities across MSF field operations, ensuring best‑practice, efficiency and compliance with global needs.

Key responsibilities

• Provide front‑office strategic and technical support for mutualised and non‑mutualised procurement in country programmes remotely.
• Deliver hands‑on operational procurement assistance on demand, including needs assessment, market analysis, sourcing, negotiation and supplier performance monitoring.
• Act as functional manager for field Intersectional Procurement Managers, overseeing recruitment, onboarding, roadmap execution and removing operational roadblocks.
• Develop regional market intelligence, consolidate category priorities and maintain relationships with strategic regional suppliers.
• Identify gaps in processes and tools, promote use of the Supplier Portal and e‑Sourcing tool, and contribute to strengthening field procurement processes and community.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain or a related field.
• At least 6 years of procurement experience covering data analysis, sourcing, complex negotiation and contracting.
• Minimum 3 years of field procurement experience in NGOs such as MSF.
• Demonstrated people‑management experience.
• Strong strategic planning, analytical and organisational abilities.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience using Supplier Portal and e‑Sourcing tools.
