About the role
The National Sales Manager will lead the development and execution of the sales strategy for the country, driving both sell‑in and sell‑out performance. This senior position requires close collaboration with cross‑functional teams to ensure market growth and profitability.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and manage the market budget forecast.
- Achieve sell‑in, sell‑out and turnover targets for the year.
- Design, implement and monitor quarterly action plans.
- Maintain and optimise sales support tools.
- Report market conditions regularly and propose operational improvements.
- Ensure field personnel compliance and daily coaching of the sales team.
- Oversee deployment, monitoring and KPI feedback for the GTM sales‑force automation tool.
- Analyse competitor product, packaging and offer strategies.
- Update the BOM and price tracker across categories on a monthly basis.
Required profile
- University degree; postgraduate qualification in Marketing or a related social science is a plus.
- 5‑7 years of sales and marketing management experience, preferably in the food industry.
- Strong understanding of FMCG markets, distribution channels, competitor activity and consumer behaviour.
- Fluent in English and French; Wolof is an advantage.
Required skills
- Proficiency with GTM (sales‑force automation) tools.
