Nutanix Engineer / Networking IT Support Engineer (Freelance)

About the role

We are looking for a seasoned Nutanix Engineer who can also provide networking IT support on an on‑call basis for our enterprise infrastructure in Dakar and Bel Air. The role is freelance and requires flexibility to respond to incidents across regional time zones.

Key responsibilities

• Deploy, configure and manage Nutanix HCI environments (AOS, AHV, Prism)
• Perform upgrades, patching and lifecycle management of the Nutanix stack
• Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and networking issues
• Implement backup and disaster‑recovery solutions
• Provide on‑call incident response and support
• Collaborate with global teams on cloud and infrastructure projects
• Maintain up‑to‑date system documentation

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in infrastructure or virtualization engineering
• Strong hands‑on experience with the Nutanix stack
• Knowledge of VMware or Hyper‑V environments
• Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, VLANs, DNS, DHCP)
• Experience with disaster‑recovery and backup tools
• Ability to work on‑call and handle critical incidents
