Project Manager – Senegal (National Only)

About the role

The Project Manager will lead the implementation of the Regional Clean Cooking Action West Africa (ReCCAWA) programme in Senegal. Reporting to Mercy Corps senior management, the role oversees planning, coordination and delivery of project activities, ensuring compliance with donor requirements and Mercy Corps policies.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and overall direction for the ReCCAWA programme in Senegal.
• Develop and maintain detailed work plans, budgets and reporting mechanisms.
• Coordinate daily operations with consortium partners, government ministries, financial institutions and private‑sector stakeholders.
• Monitor financial and operational performance, ensuring timely and high‑quality results.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for the Dutch Government donor and regional ReCCAWA partners.
• Facilitate knowledge sharing, adaptive management and innovation across the clean‑cooking ecosystem.
• Ensure compliance with Mercy Corps policies, risk management procedures and child protection standards.

Required profile

• National of Senegal or holder of an independent right to work in Senegal.
• Fluency in French and English.
• Proven experience managing multi‑partner development projects, preferably in the energy or clean‑cooking sector.
• Strong understanding of donor reporting and compliance requirements.
• Ability to lead diverse teams and build effective partnerships with government and private sector.
