About the role

ALIMA is seeking an Environmental Action Referent to lead the implementation of its 2030 environmental roadmap. Reporting to the Deputy General Director, the role works across all departments, especially logistics, and partners closely with the Climate Action Accelerator.

Key responsibilities

• Animate and coordinate pilot projects on solar energy, humanitarian waste recycling, and climate‑resilient health facilities.
• Scale successful solutions to other countries and projects.
• Integrate climate considerations into needs assessments and project design.
• Drive the transition to solar power for field sites and bases.
• Adapt procurement, freight and travel policies to reduce carbon footprint.
• Train country teams and national NGO partners on environmental planning and monitoring.
• Document progress, produce annual monitoring reports, and share lessons within the humanitarian sector.

Required profile

• Proven experience in environmental project management, preferably within humanitarian or health contexts.
• Strong ability to work collaboratively with multiple departments and external partners.
• Understanding of climate change adaptation and resilience in health services.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
