Bambara Language Expert – Remote

About the role

We are seeking a native or near‑native Bambara speaker to support the development of next‑generation AI systems. In this remote contract position, you will provide high‑quality linguistic input that helps train models to understand and generate Bambara accurately.

Key responsibilities

• Translate content to and from Bambara, ensuring cultural relevance and precision.
• Edit and proofread Bambara language data to maintain high quality.
• Collaborate with AI trainers and developers to annotate, evaluate, and improve Bambara datasets.
• Create and review glossaries, linguistic resources, and written materials in Bambara.
• Provide insights on idioms, expressions, and cultural references to optimise AI outputs.
• Participate in team discussions, offering linguistic expertise and constructive feedback.
• Deliver all work within project deadlines and quality standards.

Required profile

• Native or near‑native proficiency in Bambara with excellent verbal and written communication.
• Strong background in linguistics, translation, or a related field.
• Demonstrated experience editing or creating Bambara content.
• Ability to translate complex concepts accurately and fluently.
• Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to linguistic integrity.
• Self‑motivated and able to work efficiently in a remote environment.
