About the role
Maersk Senegal is offering a 12‑month Customer Experience Trainee programme. You will learn how to own and manage the customer experience, identify issues, build strong relationships and co‑create solutions that benefit both Maersk and its customers.
Key responsibilities
- Improve customer satisfaction (CSAT) and key performance indicators for phone, email and chat channels.
- Drive cross‑selling and upselling strategies.
- Enhance self‑service usage through Maersk digital tools.
- Improve documentation measures and information flow.
- Develop business acumen to understand factors influencing customer decisions.
- Analyse external factors affecting customers' supply chains and respond to their urgency and service needs.
- Act as the primary point of contact for assigned customers, ensuring smooth end‑to‑end shipment lifecycle, including inland delivery.
- Execute cost‑saving plans while maintaining safety and reliability standards.
- Proactively track shipments and notify customers of any deviations, offering alternative solutions.
Required profile
- Recently completed studies or early‑career professional.
- No prior work experience required.
- Educational background in Logistics, Marketing, Business Management or related fields.
- Strong interest in customer experience, logistics and supply‑chain operations.
