Head of Fulfillment – Warehouse Operations Lead

About the role

Jumia is seeking an experienced Head of Fulfillment to lead and optimise its warehouse operations across inbound, inventory, outbound and after‑sales functions. This senior position will drive process standardisation, KPI creation and continuous improvement to support Jumia’s pan‑African e‑commerce platform.

Key responsibilities

• Create and monitor KPIs, implementing simple systems to evaluate and improve performance.
• Analyse order life‑cycle data to identify bottlenecks and boost operational efficiency.
• Design and maintain dashboards that highlight process constraints.
• Oversee daily reporting on backlog, incidents, change and problem tickets, ensuring SLA compliance.
• Liaise with technical and local teams on all warehousing system matters.
• Control out‑of‑stock situations and ensure accurate stock counts and investigations of variances.
• Execute all financial processes related to the warehouse on a monthly, quarterly and yearly basis.
• Implement and maintain stock‑management tools to support Jumia’s online shops.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain, Economics or Engineering.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in FMCG, e‑commerce or warehouse management.
• Fluent communication skills in English and either French or Arabic, depending on location.
• Proven ability to report and analyse data effectively.

• Advanced Excel (macros, pivot tables, VLOOKUP, analytical workbooks).
• Data analysis and KPI development.
• Dashboard creation and visualisation.
• Warehouse Management System (WMS) familiarity.
