Lead Entrepreneurship Program Lead for WAEMU

About the role

The Program Lead, Entrepreneurship will drive execution of the Senegal/WAEMU entrepreneurship portfolio, translating strategic roadmaps into high‑quality delivery, partner performance, and measurable impact for young people, especially young women.

Key responsibilities

• Lead delivery of the entrepreneurship portfolio against outcomes, milestones, quality standards, and impact targets.
• Drive partner performance through clear expectations, regular reviews, and timely course correction.
• Identify and manage implementation risks, coordinate mitigation actions, and apply adaptive management using evidence and market context.
• Provide technical leadership on entrepreneurship, MSME development, inclusive finance, and market systems.
• Coordinate planning, sequencing, prioritization, and resource utilization across Foundation teams and partners.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Entrepreneurship, International Development, Public Policy or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of progressive experience leading complex entrepreneurship, enterprise development, private sector development, inclusive finance or market systems programs.
• Deep understanding of entrepreneurship ecosystems, MSME growth, access to finance and job creation pathways for youth.
• Experience managing multi‑stakeholder partnerships across West Africa, preferably with exposure to WAEMU markets.
• Proven ability to deliver results through influence, partner stewardship, coordination and sound judgement.
