O&M Field Engineer (Kolda)

About the role

Renvolt is expanding its operations in Senegal and seeks a skilled O&M Field Engineer to provide fast on‑site and remote support at its Kolda site. Reporting to the O&M Site Manager, you will ensure reliable operation of photovoltaic power plants and high‑voltage substations.

Key responsibilities

• Perform rapid on‑site and remote troubleshooting and implement fault recovery solutions to restore production.
• Carry out specialized technical maintenance activities on photovoltaic installations and HV substations.
• Participate in integrated commissioning and start‑up activities.
• Conduct on‑site technical assessments and produce detailed technical reports and evidence for claim processes.
• Deliver training workshops to build maintenance competence across the team.
• Develop and improve maintenance management processes, documentation, and standards.
• Recommend more efficient maintenance practices, tools, and reliability studies.
• Monitor and audit implemented procedures to ensure compliance with health and safety policies.

Required profile

• Degree or Master in Electrical, Electronics or Automation Engineering.
• Professional Engineer (Electrical) with experience in HV substation maintenance.
• Ability to perform physical site work and obtain a medical fitness certificate.
• Experience in commissioning and maintenance of photovoltaic power plants.
• Knowledge of electronics and automation fault detection and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with maintenance management standards and continuous improvement processes.
• Experience with SCADA, remote control, data acquisition and communications systems (preferred).
• Advanced proficiency in MS Office and reporting software.
• Advanced English reading, writing and speaking.
• Valid Senegal driver’s license.
