Operations Specialist, West and North Africa (Short-Term)

About the role

The Operations Specialist will ensure smooth, compliant, and cost‑effective operations for IDinsight’s offices in Senegal and Morocco, supporting teams to deliver high‑quality work without operational friction.

Key responsibilities

• Lead day‑to‑day operations across both offices, covering administration, travel support, office management and vendor services.
• Coordinate people‑operations processes throughout the employee lifecycle, including recruiting, onboarding, benefits, engagement and off‑boarding.
• Maintain accurate people‑ops records and documentation for the regional team.
• Manage procurement and contracting in line with IDinsight policies and donor requirements.
• Partner with Finance to support monthly closes, payments, expense hygiene and audit readiness.
• Ensure local compliance in Senegal and Morocco for employment administration, benefits, registrations and records retention.

Required profile

• 2–4 years of experience in recruiting, people operations, HR or administration, preferably in international or multi‑stakeholder settings.
• Strong organisational skills, ability to manage multiple workstreams with minimal oversight.
• Sound judgment and discretion handling sensitive employee information.
• Professional fluency in French and English; Arabic or Wolof a plus.

Required skills

• Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems.
• Familiarity with tools such as BambooHR, Lattice, Unit4, Asana or Slack.
