Project Implementation Officer (Humanitarian Programs)

About the role

The Project Implementation Officer will coordinate day‑to‑day implementation of humanitarian and community development activities at ARCD’s Senegal Country Office, working closely with the Country Director to ensure timely, on‑budget delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate daily implementation of assigned project activities according to work plans and budgets.
• Monitor progress against milestones and flag delays or risks to the Country Director.
• Support beneficiary identification, selection and verification in line with program criteria.
• Organise field visits, distributions and community engagement, ensuring proper documentation.
• Maintain accurate project files, activity reports and supporting documentation for donor and internal reporting.
• Liaise with local partners, community leaders and government counterparts to facilitate smooth delivery.
• Support data collection, monitoring and evaluation activities, including surveys and post‑distribution assessments.
• Contribute to narrative and financial reporting on project activities.
• Ensure compliance with ARCD policies on procurement, safeguarding and financial accountability.
• Assist the Country Director in identifying new program opportunities and community needs.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in development studies, social sciences, public administration or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience implementing projects or programs, including supervision of construction sites.
• At least 2 years of experience within a humanitarian NGO or international organization in Senegal.
• Demonstrated experience working directly with communities in a humanitarian context.
